About the role
We are looking for a high-output Recruiter to help scale our team across engineering, AI, product, GTM, and operations. You will play a key role in driving top-of-funnel activity, managing candidates through process, and closing exceptional hires quickly and thoughtfully. This role requires sharp instincts, operational excellence, and a strong sense of ownership, with the opportunity to partner closely with the CEO, executive team, and hiring managers across the business.
You will be joining a team that sees recruiting not as a support function, but as a competitive advantage. You will be expected to run aggressive outbound campaigns, pitch candidates at the highest level, and move fast — while contributing to our systems, process improvements, and candidate experience along the way.
This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to “act like an owner” and commit yourself to Tandem’s success. If you join, you will:
Manage full-cycle recruiting for roles across technical, business, and operations functions
Source and engage candidates aggressively, through referrals, outbound, and creative tactics
Run point on scheduling, coordination, and candidate communication, ensuring a smooth and high-integrity experience
Collaborate with hiring managers and executives to clarify needs, shape scorecards, and define interview processes
Help iterate on recruiting operations, tools, and reporting to improve speed and consistency
Contribute to onboarding, employer branding, and candidate experience projects as needed
Uphold Tandem’s high hiring bar by pushing for better calibration, feedback quality, and process discipline
We’ll be most excited if you have:
2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally across both technical and non-technical roles
Strong instincts for sourcing and outbound — you treat top-of-funnel like a sales motion
Relentless follow-through and attention to detail — you don’t drop balls and you keep things moving
Clear, confident written and verbal communication — you can pitch Tandem effectively to any candidate
Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals

Tandem is based in New York, with our full team working out of a beautiful and spacious office in SoHo.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Tandem (for full-time employees). Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
