Analytics Lead
Tandem
Why you should join us
Tandem is a generational opportunity to rethink how we bring new therapies to market, and our path to doing so is significantly de-risked – we have:
Exponential organic growth: We have product-market fit and are growing rapidly through word-of-mouth. Tandem supports thousands of patients every day, is doubling doctor users every quarter, and is working with the largest biopharma companies in the world.
An AI-first business model: Our approach is distinctly enabled by AI, but our business will get stronger (not commoditized) as foundation models improve. We are building durability through two-sided network effects that will compound over time.
Top tier investors: With the traction to support conviction in our model, we raised significant funding from investors (including Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Bain Capital Ventures, and Pear VC) to build an exceptional team of engineers and operators.
Our number one priority is scaling to market demand. We are looking for individuals who are high horsepower, high throughput, and hyper resourceful to help us increase capacity and grow. We move fast and need to move faster.
All full-time roles are in person in New York. You can learn more about working with us in the last section of this page.
About the role
As Analytics Lead, you will build and lead our analytics function — not as a reporting center, but as a strategic engine that drives how we operate, build, and invest. You will define our analytics stack, shape the metrics that matter, and create systems that give every team more leverage. You will work across product, operations, GTM, and executive leadership to drive structured thinking and surface the insights that accelerate our business.
You will also play a critical role in external engagements: building and delivering analytics for key life sciences and provider clients, working directly with their teams to communicate performance, surface opportunities, and showcase the value we’re creating. This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and communication, and is central to how Tandem scales intelligently and credibly.
This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Tandem's success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.
If you join, you will:
Define and lead Tandem’s analytics strategy, from instrumentation and data modeling to dashboards, experimentation, and forecasting
Build self-serve tools and frameworks that power insight and action across product, ops, GTM, and AI
Partner with leadership to define KPIs that actually drive behavior and help teams reason from them
Collaborate on product roadmap, operational efficiency, pricing, org design, and go-to-market strategy using data as a lever
Lead external analytics workstreams for key clients — building dashboards, answering performance questions, and presenting insights and new opportunities
Help maintain a culture of data fluency by supporting strong SQL hygiene, intuitive metrics, and confident data usage across the team
Possibly build and lead a small team of analysts, analytics engineers, or data scientists as the function grows
We’re looking for you if you have:
5–10 years in data science, product analytics, or strategic analytics roles with real business impact
Strong technical background with exceptional ability to do analysis, write pipelines, and design experiments, as well as pick up new tools on the fly
Clear product sense and structured thinking — you can go from open-ended question to crisp, actionable recommendation
Comfort working across messy ops data, product instrumentation, and external-facing analytics
Excellent written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships
Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
High NPS with your former teammates
This is a list of ideal qualifications for this position. If you don't meet every single one of them, you should still consider applying! We’re excited to work with people from underrepresented backgrounds, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
