The Challenge:
We are seeking a Senior Workplace Manager to oversee daily operations, facilities, and the overall workplace experience across our Norther California / Pacific Northwest locations. You will lead a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, from vendor management and space planning to incident response and sustainability initiatives.
This is a people-first, high-autonomy role focused on delivering exceptional service to studio teams, optimizing the workplace for daily excellence and long-term evolution. Success will depend on both strategic insight and strong execution across multiple projects and work-streams.
What You’ll Take On:
- Manage daily operations, facilities, and workplace experience across our Northern California/Pacific Northwest locations.
- Lead a small, high-performing team with a focus on continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and service excellence.
- Act as a tactical leader overseeing a complex operational area with measurable impact on team performance and studio effectiveness.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, setting clear goals and expectations while creating a culture of excellence, inclusion, and accountability.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback, manage career development, and identify training opportunities.
- Recommend and implement strategies for employee progression and workforce planning.
- Act as both advisor and mentor, fostering growth through formal training and on-the-job learning.
- Participate in moderate to significant people decisions, such as hiring, performance improvement, and development planning.
Collaborator & Strategic Partnership
- Build strong, trusted relationships with studio leadership, global workplace partners, and other internal teams.
- Influence stakeholders to align on goals, standards, and execution of workplace strategies.
- Contribute input to tactical planning and local implementation of global initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership to anticipate evolving business needs and translate those into actionable space and service solutions.
Facilities & Operations Oversight
- Own all aspects of facility operations including health & safety, maintenance, cleaning, catering, and space management across the assigned portfolio.
- Lead day-to-day tactical execution and elevate recurring or strategic issues for resolution.
- Apply strong decision-making skills to address operational issues, managing escalations with discretion and speed.
- Implement moderate to significant improvements in systems, processes, and service levels across the workplace portfolio.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Oversee a wide network of service providers and contractors, including vendor selection, performance reviews, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
- Optimize supplier relationships to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that support business outcomes.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and provide accurate forecasting; contribute input into annual planning processes.
Program & Project Management
- Manage multiple, complex projects (e.g., moves, renovations, workplace refreshes) with minimal supervision.
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives and collaborate with Real Estate, IT, and Studio Ops teams.
- Own and improve documentation and data accuracy in workplace systems (CAFM, IWMS).
Business Continuity & Emergency Response
- Serve as site lead for incident response and emergency management
- Liaise with Health & Safety, Security, and Facilities Compliance to create and test protocols and response plans.
Innovation & Sustainability
- Drive ESG goals and sustainable workplace practices, including energy usage monitoring and resource efficiency.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of spaces that blend functionality, technology, and wellness.
What You Bring:
- 6–8 years of direct experience in workplace/facilities management, including 2+ years of team leadership.
- Proven record of managing cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong track record in tactical decision-making, operations oversight, and process improvement.
- Prior experience in creative, technical, or high-growth work environments strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Facilities, Hospitality, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of workplace management practices, vendor contracts, and H&S compliance.
- Exceptional people leadership and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of autonomy with strong judgment in operational, people, and project decisions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking; comfortable addressing issues that impact the broader business.
- Comfortable managing a predetermined budget and offering input into strategic workforce and financial planning.
Leveling & Role Scope (Manager Tier)
- Leads a team of experienced professionals and/or managers.
- Works on cross-functional assignments and drives complex, multifaceted projects.
- Operates with significant latitude in decision-making; escalates only unique or highly complex matters.
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance goals.
- Participates in the strategic planning process; may contribute to long-term staffing plans and business initiatives.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $137,300 and $203,180 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits. Details of participation in compensation and benefit plans (if applicable) will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an ~at-will position~ and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
