What You’ll Take On
- Support in the preparation of U.S. federal and state income tax returns (including forms 5471, 8858, 8975).
- Supporting the preparation of ASC 740 calculations in conjunction with financial reporting for both domestic and international components.
- Support preparation of estimated tax payments and extension calculations.
- Preparation of U.S book to tax reconciliations for various entities.
- Prepare monthly fixed asset analysis and reconciliation of additions and dispositions for tax depreciation.
- Prepare analysis for state income tax adjustments, state exemption analysis and state nexus tracking.
- Perform, support and communicate the calculation of the monthly indirect tax accruals across multiple entities.
- Calculate, review and reconcile Indirect Tax returns using provided tools and templates for approval.
- Manage the submission of returns using our submission partners, and maintain records of approvals and submissions.
- Process and track monthly tax payments for timely submission.
- Manage the settlement of taxes and ensure settlements are correctly reflected in the accounts of each business by performing month end reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly professional fees analysis and book accruals and adjustments.
- Prepare forms W-9 and W-8s for various entities.
- Support the US tax team with various tax tasks such as Transfer Pricing analysis, tax adjustment analysis and reconciliations, and tax payable analysis.
- Support the US tax team on by organizing and pulling required data for tax audits.
- Support in Pillar 2 compliance, county by country notification requirements and DAC 6 questionaires
- Collaborate with the US tax teams, as well as external providers, to support on various projects as required.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of professional tax experience, including experience in high volume U.S. income tax compliance, indirect tax and U.S. GAAP.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex tax concepts in English is required in this position.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the global business partners and to develop working relationships with management and staff in all departments.
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting and U.S. tax principles
- General understanding of SOX compliance for a public company
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment utilizing organizational and team-oriented interpersonal skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deal with multiple changing priorities.
- Self-starter working under minimal direction and drive tasks or responsibility to completion and meet the deadline.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionalities and formula (e.g. pivot table, SUMIF/SUMIFS/VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP/INDEX/MATCH formulas, etc.)
Great to Have
- Specific experience with multiple territory Indirect compliance is desirable.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP, Hyperion Financial Management/Hyperion Planning systems, and BlackLine reconciliation tool a plus.
- Experience with SQL and building simple macros will be a benefit in this data-heavy position, but strong Excel skills will be sufficient.
