About the Role
Tabs is hiring an experienced Solutions Engineer to support signed customers with implementation and onboarding until full go-live. You’ll be the founding member of the Implementation Team at Tabs and therefore directly involved in the development of the department. Your responsibilities will include guiding customers through the integration of Tabs products to ensure smooth onboarding and successful implementation. This role is crucial for customer success, as implementation lays the foundation for our customers’ use of Tabs. You’ll work cross-functionally with GTM, Customer Success, and Operations, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to develop new features based on customer needs.
What you’ll accomplish:
Be a trusted implementation partner to our customers to ensure onboarding in a timely manner.
Develop a strong understanding of the customer’s current technology requirements and map the customer's current business processes to the Tabs product offering.
Define, develop, and document requirements during kickoff to ensure customer needs are captured and come up with an implementation roadmap.
Guide the customer to adopt Tabs and install various integrations (General Ledger, Tax Platforms, Payments Platform, etc.)
Meaningfully shape our future product: As you engage with customers, you'll gain insights to help us serve them better and work with the product to inform the roadmap.
When technical issues arise, you’ll leverage internal tools, teams, and resources to ensure customers meet their implementation milestones.
You will support customers as they test, pilot and ultimately rely on our platform for critical finance and billing processes.
Build productive customer relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged, informed of implementation progress, blockers, and action items.
Document technical considerations and contribute to the internal knowledge base as a resource for Customers, Partners, Customer Experience (CX) and Support.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Experience organization to ensure the customer is set up for successful handoff in the Post Sales lifecycle.
Who you are:
Proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and is eager to learn, adapt, and scale within a fast-paced, evolving startup atmosphere.
Comfortable getting technical with customers on accounting/finance concepts and coming up with an implementation plan independently, and then executing on the implementation proposal.
Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively manage and balance customer expectations and provide clear guidance on customers requirements for implementation.
Strong project management skills. You have successfully managed various complex projects to completion independently.
Experience:
4+ years of experience either in Implementation/Solution Engineering in early stage startups or in consulting
Understanding of technical concepts - you’ll be expected to explain how Tabs product and ERP integrations can be used to support advanced customer workflows
Equally comfortable in business and technical context, interacting with executives or talking shop with technical audiences or system admins
Nice to have:
Experience in solutions roles within a fintech or consulting company dealing with ERP integrations like NetSuite or Sage
Experience in an ERP consulting or implementation firm executing on ERP projects for customers
Experience implementing or migrating large scale systems (e.g. ERP, Payroll, Finance Systems) in-house at a tech company
Experience working with Finance and Accounting software with a Big-4 background, or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
