What you'll be doing:
- Build and own Sword Health’s US communications strategy across earned, owned, and shared channels.
- In partnership with the CEO, lead all external communications efforts including media relations, press releases, and proactive storytelling in the US market.
- Manage crisis communications and sensitive reputational issues, providing executive counsel and strategic direction.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to craft and elevate their public profiles through speaking engagements, awards, bylines, and interviews.
- Develop internal communications programs that inspire and align employees around Sword Health’s mission and values.
- Identify strategic opportunities and optimal channels—including speaking engagements, podcasts, media interactions, awards and external events —to amplify messages, build thought leadership, and support business goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, Product, Legal, and People teams to ensure message consistency and alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters and editors to effectively share our media pitches and drive coverage.
- Manage external relationship with key stakeholders
- Measure and report on communications effectiveness and brand perception.
What you need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in communications, including experience leading strategic communications for high-growth technology or healthcare companies.
- Deep expertise in US media relations, crisis communications and executive communications.
- Proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage and driving brand narratives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to distill complex concepts into clear, compelling messages.
- Experience working with C-level executives and influencing at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.
- Proven experience with media outreach in the U.S. media landscape.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and a proactive mindset.
