Introduction:
As the Assistant General Manager for our Government Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Sword's presence in the government sector, specifically targeting the Defense Health Agency and the Veterans Administration. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing pre-acquisition activities, and responding effectively to RFPs. Your role will also involve accessing and leveraging government contracting vehicles, leading the FedRamp process, attending key conferences, and managing billing processes through CPT or ICD-10 codes. You will be instrumental in establishing a metrics-based culture of trust and accountability within the team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Spearheading Sword’s entry and expansion in the government health sector, particularly with the Defense Health Agency, Department of Defense, Veterans Health Administration, and other federally funded agencies.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for identifying and responding to government opportunities, including RFPs and pre-acquisition activities.
  • Securing and managing government contracting vehicles to facilitate sales.
  • Leading the cross-functional effort for the FedRamp and/or ATO process, ensuring compliance and effective collaboration.
  • Representing Sword at key conferences and meetings, building and sustaining government client relationships.
  • Innovating billing and coding processes for government entities, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Building and qualifying pipeline across DoD, VHA, Medicaid, and other federal government programs
  • Helping define and refine pipeline stages, assisting in progressing pipeline through stages, keeping records of the same, and forecasting bookings attainment
  • Assisting in getting conversations with key stakeholders (e.g., Contracting officers, physical therapists, unit commanders, senior operators, Chief medical officers, etc.)
  • Managing initial implementations of Sword at federally funded organizations to ensure the necessary training, systems, and adoption are in place and successful.
  • Fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and positive problem-solving within the team.

What you need to have:

  • More than 6 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and integrate business and technical teams in the government health sector.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. government healthcare systems, procurement processes, and contracting vehicles.
  • Expertise in ROI analysis and strategy development within government health technology sales.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools relevant to government contracting and health technology.
  • Skills in developing and executing engagement strategies with government clients.
  • In-depth understanding of the enterprise sales process in the government sector.
  • Creativity in problem-solving and material development for government market entry.
