What will you do at SuperPlay?

The Bookkeeper Team Lead will lead the company’s bookkeeping function, manage and develop a team of bookkeepers, take full ownership of the books, build structure and controls, and support the Oracle Fusion implementation while scaling financial operations in a fast-growing environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive, a strong operational leader who sets high standards, drives accountability, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed. Proven people management experience is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the bookkeeping function and the integrity of the books (i.e. Month close, intercompany, accruals, etc.).
  • Lead and manage two bookkeepers, including task allocation, prioritization, and professional guidance.
  • Serve as the main professional authority for the bookkeeping team and provide ongoing support and escalation handling.
  • Build, implement, and continuously improve reconciliation frameworks and financial controls across all bookkeeping processes.
  • Oversee VAT reporting and statutory filings.
  • Oversee payment processes and financial operations, ensuring timely execution, proper authorization, and compliance.
  • Support the Oracle ERP implementation, contributing to a smooth transition and ongoing process enhancements.
  • Step in hands-on when required and take direct responsibility for resolving issues to ensure all deadlines and requirements are consistently met.

Who are you?

  • Certified Bookkeeper (Minimum level 3) - a must.
  • 3+ years leading a bookkeeping team with full accountability for quality and output, preferably in a global or Hi-Tech company.
  • Proven ability to independently run the books and take full ownership of financial accuracy.
  • Strong experience building and enforcing structured reconciliation and control processes.
  • Deep knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals and financial close processes, with the ability to ensure accurate and reliable financial records.
  • Experience supporting or leading an ERP implementation – Advantage.
  • Oracle experience – Advantage.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Hands-on leader with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
