What will you do at SuperPlay?

We’re looking for an AI Developer Tools Engineer to build fast, reliable AI-powered automations that significantly improve engineering productivity. You’ll design lightweight internal agents, connect them to core engineering and product systems, and remove friction across the development and product workflows.

A key part of this role is understanding business logic, company processes, and product-domain needs, and translating them into simple, high-impact AI-driven tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered internal agents integrated with engineering and product systems such as issue tracking, CI/CD, code repositories, observability, and experimentation platforms.
  • Automate and streamline developer and product workflows, reducing repetitive work, improving hand-offs, and surfacing clear, actionable insights.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business logic, internal processes, and product domains, ensuring automations align with real operational goals and constraints.
  • Translate product and business requirements into practical technical solutions supporting development, experimentation, live operations, and analytics.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and ship focused, high-impact automations.
  • Ensure safe and reliable execution through proper access controls, approvals, and guardrails.
  • Add lightweight telemetry and metrics, measure adoption and impact, and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Who are you?

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years with Python.
  • Experience building internal tools, services, or integrations using APIs and webhooks.
  • Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs to automate or augment developer and product workflows.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and basic observability concepts.
  • Strong ability to understand business logic and company processes and reflect them accurately in automation and tooling.
  • Experience collaborating with product teams on domain-specific problems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a strong passion for improving Developer Experience (DevEx).

You get bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with modern agent–tool protocols (e.g., MCP).
  • Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or Pydantic AI.
  • Track record of improving Developer Experience at team or organizational scale.
  • Background in games, mobile products, or experimentation systems.
  • Experience building tools that bridge engineering, product, and business operations.
