Who we are

About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the Product: Payouts is the engine that powers Stripe’s money movement layer. While Stripe is famous for accepting payments ("money in"), the Payouts team ensures that businesses can programmatically access and move that money ("money out") to anyone, anywhere, in any currency.

The Payouts Product Suite

As a member of the Payouts S&O team, you will help shape the strategy for a product suite that moves billions of dollars daily across the globe. Our core capabilities include:

  • Global Payouts: send money in local currency to recipients in 58 countries and domestically.
  • Instant Payouts: accelerate access to your funds, making them available as soon as funds from a card charge are successfully completed.
  • Next-day settlement: make funds from your domestic transactions available in your Stripe balance on the next business day.
  • Multi-currency settlement: configure your account to accrue balances and get paid out in additional currencies without incurring foreign exchange fees.

About the team: The Strategy & Operations (S&O) team for Payouts is responsible for enabling the continued rapid growth and operational excellence of one of Stripe's most vital and complex product areas. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, treasury, go-to-market and data science leadership.

As part of this team, you will dive into a wide array of problems that drive impact for the business—from optimizing global liquidity and foreign-exchange routing to defining the commercialization strategy for new products. You will provide the analytical insight and operational pragmatism necessary to scale our network to support the next generation of global marketplaces and enterprises.

Strategy & Operations at Stripe

The Strategy & Operations team is a critical partner to product leadership at Stripe, focused on three core pillars:

  • Setting and Driving the Business Agenda: We help define the right organizational structure and operating model, lead critical forums, and develop materials to represent the business to senior leadership.
  • Strategy Development: We deliver objective and opinionated strategies, leveraging market, competitive, and user insights to inform long-term product and partnership strategy, as well as Go-To-Market and commercialization strategy.
  • Program/Process Incubation: We add structure and clarity to ambiguous problems, leading and influencing large cross-functional teams to stand up and define new programs and processes that simplify how we run the business.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Payouts leadership to define the long-term strategic vision and build annual operating plans and goals, ensuring alignment with Stripe's overall company strategy.
  • Maintain a pulse on the financial health of the Payouts business. This includes analyzing monetization trends across the product suite and proactively surfacing areas to optimize our unit economics and efficiency.
  • Build and own models for in-depth analyses to help inform our overall strategy, such as pricing elasticity or the impact of commoditized rails (RTP).
  • Obsess over our top Payouts product metrics, helping to track and drive initiatives that will move the needle for adoption of our product suite, specifically focusing on "time to funds" and global coverage.
  • Support cross-functional execution across priority projects, coordinating between Product, Treasury, Risk, and Engineering to deliver complex initiatives like funds availability or new cross-border corridors.
  • Design and implement operational systems and processes (e.g., reporting dashboards, planning forums, decision-making workflows) that help the Payouts teams scale efficiently.
  • Support go-to-market efforts for new Payouts features by navigating internal stakeholders and tracking post-launch performance.
