Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

As Stripe’s user base and global footprint grows dramatically, we have distinctly unique support problems resulting from both our type of scale and the type of businesses we partner with. The Stripe Delivery Center (SDC) strategy will provide operational leverage and expand Stripe’s portfolio of operational capabilities to support the scaled needs for external users and internal Stripe teams. Our support experience leverages deep understanding of our products, the financial industry and money movement, and our customers’ products and users, and requires us to invest significant resources into building this experience ourselves with talented teams of Stripes.

What you’ll do

We are looking for dynamic and entrepreneurial leaders who will define our strategy to scale our Core Payments team, help define and improve operational workflows, and maintain a best in class Operations program. If you like hard problems, are analytical, comfortable operating in ambiguity and finding creative solutions, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence and support global expansion, global growth, and product teams by enhancing processes through effective stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and seamless execution across regions.
  • Oversee product launches by managing the horizontal product launch process, monitoring and reporting on progress with biweekly status updates to Senior leadership, while maintaining transparent documentation in Compass (Stripe Internal tool).
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by identifying and documenting responsibilities of cross-functional teams for product launches, proactively communicating blockers, and providing transparent status updates to all involved teams.
  • Define, enhance and improve operating rhythms to facilitate efficient collaboration across teams, managing operational cadences for planning cycles, business reviews, and tracking Stripe Objectives and Key Results (SOKRs).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and manage resource allocation, while facilitating the annual planning process by consolidating feedback and providing insights for leadership.
  • Implement metrics to identify and eliminate inefficiencies (Muda) and standardize emerging processes with documented frameworks, partnering with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Partnerships, and Legal teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Over 7 years of total working experience with 4-5 years in program management, consulting, or similar roles within high-growth tech companies, especially in payments or fintech, with a strong focus on managing strategic product initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Proven track record in process and project management, including creating operational processes, leading product roadmap reviews, and designing scalable systems in fast-paced environments.
  • Skilled at scheduling, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines to ensure timely delivery of products and features.
  • Comfortable in high-ambiguity situations, executing complex projects while fostering collaboration across diverse teams and functions.
  • Strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement, maintaining high-level planning and ongoing communication to align project goals with operations seamlessly.
  • Proficient in presenting ideas, product updates, and roadmaps clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders, including executives, ensuring alignment and understanding of project objectives.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with road map management tools planning frameworks and know-how to apply them to manage projects effectively.
  • Ability to understand the company's strategic goals and align the product roadmap accordingly.
  • Skilled in helping stakeholders prioritize product features and initiatives based on business value, customer need, and resource availability.
  • A deep understanding of global markets, and the ability to contextualize decisions and processes to accommodate regional nuances.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and change management strategies to scale operations effectively.
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.

Stripe does not yet include pay ranges in job postings in every country. Stripe strongly values pay transparency and is working toward pay transparency globally.
