Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe will succeed at our mission of increasing the GDP of the internet only if we continue to prove ourselves worthy of our users’ trust. Privileged Access Tooling is a newly formed security engineering team tasked with reducing sensitive access across Stripe’s infrastructure by providing intuitive and robust tools, interfaces and controls limiting sensitive access while empowering users to complete their work easily. The team will own their work end-to-end, collaborating closely with users and stakeholders to deliver state of the art solutions and increase Stripe’s security posture.

  • Work with engineers and other leaders at Stripe to design and build solutions that will advance Stripe’s infrastructure security beyond state of the art
  • Empower the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical quality, reliability, and ease-of-use
  • Manage processes to help the team do its best work and engage effectively with the rest of Stripe
  • Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers and develop new skills
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team
  • Recruit great engineers, in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team

  • The desire to encourage a healthy, inclusive work environment that’s both supportive and challenging
  • Successfully recruited and built great teams
  • A clear and persuasive approach in writing and in person

Preferred qualifications

  • Proficiency in Go
  • Security experience is a plus but not at all a requirement
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Stripe does not yet include pay ranges in job postings in every country. Stripe strongly values pay transparency and is working toward pay transparency globally.
