About the team

The Investor Relations (IR) team sits with the Finance organization and is a key component of Stripe’s long-term success. Our team is responsible for developing and managing Stripe’s equity capital markets activities. Our primary focus is effectively communicating Stripe’s business strategy and financial performance in order to cultivate long-term partnerships with our global investor base. We also design and execute equity transactions and advise Stripe’s leadership team on developments and trends in our industry and the capital markets. We operate in a fast-paced environment and collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

What you’ll do

We are looking for an Associate to join our Investor Relations team. This individual will support core activities of the IR team and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Accounting, Communications, Finance & Strategy, Global Equity Management, Legal, and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Finance and other orgs to analyze financial performance and key business developments for use in investor communications
  • Support the creation and distribution of routine and ad-hoc investor reporting materials
  • Assist with shareholder engagement activities, including investor meetings, calls, and events
  • Monitor and report on industry trends related to financial performance and equity capital markets
  • Own day-to-day operations for the IR program, including cap table management and other core processes

Minimum requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in equity research or investment banking
  • The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and work independently in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • Experience building integrated financial models from scratch and analyzing problems and data sets to form actionable conclusions
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements and a “roll up your sleeves” mindset to get any job done
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • A passion for capital markets and a working knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with high-growth technology or financial services companies
  • Experience with GSuite tools
  • Familiarity with financial research tools such as FactSet
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $122,400 - $183,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
