As a Treasury Principal, you will be responsible for supporting the management of assets and liabilities (ALM) to optimize liquidity, profitability and balance sheet efficiency while funding business growth and managing balance sheet risks. You will be managing cross-entity liquidity, funding and investment strategies, and supporting Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) activities to ensure highly effective and efficient reporting to the Senior Management.
This role plays a key part in managing cross-functional projects aimed at strengthening treasury and ALM infrastructure including the development of internal cash flow data capabilities and enhancements to cash flow forecasting models. You will be responsible for leading Finance Data and other analytical teams to improve data quality, automation, forecasting accuracy, and scalability of liquidity management processes. You will use this data to determine if adjustments on funding mix or financial products pricing are needed to optimize P&L and reduce volatility into the balance sheet.
In this role, you will directly manage the implementation of key liquidity and market risk management methodologies and frameworks by ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal control measures to enable Stori to level up its Treasury operations during our next major phase of growth.
This role will work closely with Financial Planning & Analysis, Data, Accounting, and business areas to ensure an effective asset / liability management. You will be expected to lead and engage other teams to build processes and run projects with strong communication ensuring an effective information sharing. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing complex cash and funding management while contributing to the development of scalable treasury infrastructure in a high-growth fintech environment.
Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting or related field. Master’s degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years of full-time and relevant practical experience in Treasury, Asset Liability Management, Liquidity Risk, or related areas
Advanced verbal and written communication in English
Experience in banking, financial institutions, or fintech preferred
Strong knowledge of liquidity and funding regulatory requirements, particularly those applicable to Sofipos and banks in Mexico
Experience building financial models, performing sophisticated financial analysis and liquidity forecasting
SQL knowledge desirable

Propose strategies to optimize the Asset /Liability Mix to maximize earnings on assets, minimize capital consumption, and minimize costs of liabilities considering appropriate risk management
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of cash flow projections. Ensure sufficient liquidity buffers are maintained to cover business needs in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Interpret analysis to identify trends in cost of funds, deposits mix & runoff rates, and provide insights to senior management and business areas to implement corrective actions on pricing and product strategy when needed
Identify exposure to liquidity & market risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements and alignment with the internal risk appetite. Measure and monitor interest rate risk exposure. Propose FX hedging strategies.
Support the development, implementation and integration of the FTP framework into financial planning, profitability analysis, and pricing strategies
Coordinate with stakeholders to run stress-testing scenarios and analysis to evaluate variables and impacts affecting the financial performance of the company
