The Principal Business Analyst is a strategic partner to senior leadership, responsible for defining and safeguarding the metrics that govern Stori's global success. Their role involves constant oversight of business results and representing institutional interests in decision committees, handling high-impact information that is not public knowledge.
Working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, the Principal Business Analyst ensures decisions are backed by data and aligned with company objectives, ensuring our data structure is the foundation for high-impact decision-making and that every initiative contributes to Stori's global goals.
Desired Knowledge:
Advanced mastery of SQL for extraction, modeling, and analysis of large data volumes.
Solid experience with data visualization tools (Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI).
Strong understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, and applied statistics.
Practical knowledge of forecasting and sensitivity analysis.
Ability to structure complex business problems and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
Knowledge of data modeling and data quality best practices.
Experience:
Over 3 years of experience in business analysis, analytics, or business intelligence roles (experience in digital banks, credit, consulting, or banking is highly valued).
Experience leading high-impact analysis and presenting results to other business leaders.
Ability to work independently, prioritizing initiatives with the highest business impact.
Experience in fast-growing environments, high ambiguity, and multi-team settings.
Lead and build end-to-end analysis on customer behavior, product performance, and financial results.
Design and execute A/B tests and statistical models to evaluate strategic and product initiatives.
Develop and prioritize an analytical agenda that supports strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.
Define, document, and evolve key metrics alongside other business leaders.
Build dashboards and clear data narratives for technical and executive audiences.
Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, Operations, and Data Science to drive data-driven decisions.
Mentor and guide junior analysts.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in performance, efficiency, and business growth.
Present proposals and/or decisions to the business leadership committee.
Access to risk models and exploratory product definitions.
Represent the organization's strategic interests in executive committees, evaluating the impact of large-scale initiatives.
Oversee and audit the logic of risk models and exploratory products before mass implementation.
Define and document the institutional standard for performance metrics, ensuring Stori's analytical intellectual property is protected and centralized.
