We are looking for a Senior Public Policy Analyst to be part of our Governance team

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Economy, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory, legal, public policy and government relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the financial services or fintech industry is highly desirable.

Skills And Attitudes

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative processes in Mexico, particularly related to SOFIPOs and fintech issues.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor, analyze, and interpret regulatory and legislative developments.
  • Knowledge of how financial institutions are supervised and how a regulatory affairs function works.
  • Ability to identify and address potential regulatory and legislative challenges that could impact the business.
  • Strong networking skills to develop and maintain a network of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, self-organized and with a specific focus on high quality work at a fast-paced rhythm.
  • Strong written communication skills and an ability to deliver a message succinctly
  • Ability to work independently and with changing priorities
  • Availability to travel
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex policy issues and their potential impact on the company.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory and legislative environments and provide timely advice and recommendations.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

Bonus Points

  • Master’s degree in Law, Economy, Political Science, or a related field
  • Implement and manage the public policy strategy to support Stori’s business goals in Mexico
  • Develop and present public policy positions and strategies through briefing papers, consultation responses, and internal decision-making documents.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including low and middle management government officials, industry associations, and other social/private organizations.
  • Execute and contribute to the Policy Team’s work plans within industry associations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and influence regulatory and legislative developments related to SOFIPOs and fintech issues in Mexico.
  • Advise on the potential impact of these developments on the company’s processes and objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory, Legal, Product, Communications, and Business Development, to ensure alignment on public policy issues.
