Main Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for leading the data analytics and engineer team, developing and implementing data-driven strategies, and providing actionable insights to support business objectives for various digital product and customer service teams within Stori. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customer and product understanding, product design and development, data analysis, data visualization, and team management within a tech environment.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineers, data scientists or equivalent
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights, as well as translate the business requirements into technical requirements and data designs
    • Knowledge of industry tools used to manage/implement data lineage and data quality management, and data discovery tools
  • Skills and attitudes
    • Expert in SQL, git and a programming language (ie Python, Java, etc)
    • 5+ years of experience in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar. Experience with data visualization tools like QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
    • 5+ years of experience in data product development and management
    • Creative, resourceful, and enthusiastic about seeking new solutions to problems and opportunities
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Bonus Points:
    • 5+ years of experience in building customer data center
    • 5+ years of experience in building data products for fintech companies, especially collaboration with product and tech teams
    • Experience with Airflow or other data pipeline orchestration tools
Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and data engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Strategic Planning : Develop and execute data analytics strategies to support business goals, including identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and establishing data-driven objectives.
  • Data Collection & Analysis : Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets. Utilize statistical methods and advanced analytics to generate insights and drive decision-making.
  • Reporting & Visualization : Create and present detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Ensure that insights are actionable and aligned with business needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to identify data needs and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and product development.
  • Data Governance : Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all data analytics activities. Implement best practices for data management and analytics processes.

Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques to enhance analytics and customer servicing capabilities.
