The Role
We are looking for a talented and experienced Conversational UX Designer with a specialization in chatbot interfaces to join our dynamic team at Stori. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and effective conversational experiences that drive user satisfaction and achieve business goals through WhatsApp. You will live in the intersection of UX Design, Copywriting, Data, and Artificial Intelligence, and your expertise will transform user needs and behaviors into conversational flows, making complex interactions feel simple and frictionless.
As a Conversational UX Designer, you will
Work alongside multiple Product teams within Stori to design and launch clear, compelling, and user-friendly conversational flows that facilitate a seamless experience for users trying to get support, apply for new products and navigate their account amongst other things
- Conduct user research to understand users’ needs, preferences, and pain points to inform conversational designs, roadmap, and business decisions
- Develop a consistent voice and tone for our chatbots that align with our brand’s identity and values
- Implement A/B testing for different conversational flows, analyze performance data, make iterative improvements and inform decision-making based on user feedback and behavior
- Create detailed documentation of conversational flows, design decisions, and user interactions to guide the development of future enhancements
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in conversational design or UX Design, with at least 2 years focused on chatbot interfaces
- Experience with UX Writing
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful chatbots (you can point us to a few examples of live chatbots that you worked on)
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative user research and user testing methodologies
- Familiarity with chatbot development platforms such as Gupshup, Yalo, Truora, Botmaker, etc.
Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrated ability to design and launch engaging and effective conversational experiences
- Ability to quickly understand users’ needs and behaviors to inform decision making across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to understand conversation data to identify trends, make decisions, and justify design choices
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Product Designers, and analysts
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and shifting project priorities
- An eye for detail and an almost obsessive need to craft delightful experiences
- Ability to communicate in both Spanish and English in written and verbal form
- Proficient in understanding and working with APIs to ensure that the conversational elements are well-integrated with backend systems, particularly in a financial services context.
Bonus Points
- You have experience working with companies in the financial sector, especially banks or lending institutions
- You have a basic understanding of code and how it’s used to integrate conversational flows with APIs and other services
