The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst at Stori, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing strategic insights that contribute to the development of our financial products and services. This role requires a strong understanding of the FinTech industry, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to collect and document comprehensive business requirements for the development of new products and features.
  • Data Analysis: Examine data to detect trends, uncover opportunities, and highlight areas for enhancement. Deliver data-driven insights to guide informed decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Pinpoint and propose process enhancements to boost efficiency and effectiveness whilst collaborating with teams to put these changes into action.
  • Business Strategy: Assist in shaping business strategies and creating roadmaps. Offer insights on market trends and customer needs to guide the process.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate meetings and workshops to communicate business requirements and project updates to stakeholders. Ensure alignment across teams.
  • Technical Liaison: Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to ensure business requirements are understood and translated into technical solutions.
  • Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents, user stories, process flows, and other relevant documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure that products meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Mentoring and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and other team members. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in a FinTech or financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, such as payments, lending, or credit cards is highly desirable.
