The Technical Solutions Consultant (Technical Pre-sales) leads all technical discussions with the prospect IT/InfoSec/Technical Architecture personnel.
The Technical SC is responsible for translating customer requirements and questions around key technical topics including platform, clients, authentication/authorization, security, backup and business continuity, data integration, penetration tests and security certifications with the goal of addressing all questions and concerns to quickly gain IT approval and allow the sales team to move ahead with the business champion and/or procurement process.
These responses will include RFI/RFP/InfoSec responses, prospect meetings and on-site workshops.
What you'll do:
Day to day collaboration with internal teams including: Sales, Product Management, Security, Customer Success, Legal and Marketing.
Integral in understanding the technical portion of the sales process and aligning messaging with the value proposition defined by the account team.
Ability to interpret technical/security/IT requirements and map them to the appropriate strengths of the platform and identify risks to the opportunity.
Dedicated experience in developing and standardizing content and thought leadership around technical topics.
Foster communication between IT and business personnel with prospects, customers, and internal teams.
Recognize technical concerns specific to each customer based on industry, product, company history etc. and anticipate and address specific areas of concern.
Ability to connect and build trust with technical and non-technical teams both internally and externally.
Proven C-Level Exec communication skills, especially CTOs, CISOs and CIOs.
Support customer development teams looking to implement our APIs and connectors into their data architecture.
Who You Are:
Strong experience in Technical presales or equivalent role
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following functions:technical presales/engineering, technical implementation, network/server administration, experience in working with REST-based APIs, ETL experience a plus. Experience in support experience, such as implementation support or pre-sales engineering
Technical consulting/implementation experience, preferably with enterprise planning software
Experience in technology enabled business transformation projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with stellar presentation and organization skills
Strong leadership and people development skills
Ability to work in a team environment sharing marketing knowledge and best practices with peers
Strong problem solving ability
Ability to travel up to 30%
BS/BA degree educated (preferred)
Experience with RFP collaboration tools such as Ombud + demo experience tools like Consensus are a plus
