About The Role
As Clinical Support Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Clinical Support Specialists and Clinical Nurses who are critical to ensuring our clinicians and patients experience seamless care delivery. You're responsible for building high-performing teams, establishing accountability through data-driven performance management, managing clinical escalations, and continuously refining our clinical support workflows to scale efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll roll up your sleeves alongside your team while driving operational excellence and strategic improvements.
Work Environment: Remote with minimal travel as needed for market implementations, training, and team connection.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and manage a growing team of Clinical Support Specialists and Clinical
- Nurses, establishing clear expectations and career development pathways.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance management standards that drive accountability and growth.
- Identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans; recognize and cultivate high performers.
- Foster a collaborative culture where team members feel supported to solve problems and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Design and implement training frameworks and operational structures as the team scales.
Clinical Escalations & Support:
- Work closely with the clinical team to ensure escalations are handled with urgency and clinical precision.
- Document escalation patterns and trends to identify systemic issues or opportunities for prevention.
Performance Management & Analytics:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical support operations, including schedule accuracy, documentation completeness, patient follow-up compliance, escalation response times, and quality metrics.
- Analyze trends in team performance and clinical data to identify patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create dashboards and reporting systems to track progress against goals and communicate insights to leadership.
- Use data to make informed decisions about resource allocation, process changes, and individual performance coaching.
Workflow Optimization & Process Improvement:
- Review daily operations to identify inefficiencies and areas where workflows can be streamlined or refined.
- Redesign processes to reduce manual work, improve turnaround times, and enhance accuracy in clinical documentation and patient communication.
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical teams, providers, and administrative departments to understand pain points and implement solutions.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all clinical support operations, particularly around patient data confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Clinical Support Operations & Quality:
- In collaboration with the Director of Quality and Training, ensure clinical support standards are met consistently, including accurate patient scheduling, complete documentation, and proper follow-up protocols.
- Monitor the quality of clinical interactions and documentation; provide guidance and corrective action as needed.
- Serve as a resource for complex administrative or clinical workflow issues.
About You:
- Active RN compact license
- 3+ years of healthcare operations, clinical support, or related management experience
- Demonstrated success managing and developing teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, trend identification, and performance metrics
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detailExperience with EHR systems and familiarity with clinical workflows and terminology
- Scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a startup environment
- Self-directed with the ability to identify priorities and drive initiatives with minimal oversight
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across departments
- Proven ability to implement and maintain performance management systems
- Experience with process improvement methodologies is a plusComfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt as the organization evolves

The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $130,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
