About Somethings

Somethings is building the first social wellness platform for teens — a place where a teen can form a real relationship with a mentor who gets them, sticks with them, and helps them get better.

25 Million teens in the U.S. are struggling with their mental health. Every one of the thousands of teens who download Somethings is struggling. Our job is to make sure they don’t just show up — they stay, connect with real humans who care deeply about them, and get the support that they need to thrive.

We’re backed by General Catalyst and world-class healthcare + consumer investors, and we’re growing like crazy — in 2025 we grew 1100%, raised our $15M Series A, and are on track to 5x in 2026.

If you want to be a part of the generationally defining company in mental health, welcome home.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Product Lead to guide Somethings through our next phase of rapid scaling and help define the core experiences that teens and mentors use every day.

This is a high-agency, high-responsibility role for a senior product leader who is hands-on, execution-focused, and deeply motivated by building products that matter.

The work is high ownership, high craft, and high stakes:

You will directly shape the product that helps struggling teens stay, connect, and genuinely get better.

What You’ll Do

Here you won’t just “run a roadmap,” you’ll take ownership of the missions that define our next two years:

1. Set and drive the product vision

  • Define and communicate a clear multi-quarter product strategy

  • Make hard prioritization calls with incomplete or evolving information

  • Align design, engineering, growth, and clinical teams around what matters most

  • Create focus in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment

2. Make teen × mentor experiences magical

  • Ensure core flows are intuitive, human, and emotionally grounded

  • Raise the quality bar on product craft, usability, and consistency

  • Champion user research to ensure every feature is grounded in real teen needs

3. Drive execution and clarity

  • Ensure every team member knows what matters now

  • Keep the roadmap far enough ahead to unblock engineering and design

  • Translate strategy into crisp, testable product requirements

  • Clarify scope, success metrics, and decision ownership

  • Reduce friction, rework, and ambiguity across teams

4. Scale the product organization

  • Own the product roadmap end-to-end

  • Build and develop a high-performing design and product function

  • Establish rituals, processes, and operating cadences across teams

  • Help grow us from one team to three product × engineering teams by the end of 2026

You will operate at multiple altitudes — vision, execution, and hands-on product work — often in the same day.

Who You Are

  • You are an experienced senior product leader who has built and scaled at early-stage startups across multiple product teams.

  • You have led and managed multiple product teams through ambiguity, rapid iteration, and fast growth.

  • You’re not looking to sit at 30,000 feet. You like to get your hands dirty.

  • You are as comfortable in strategy discussions as you are in Figma comments

  • You care deeply about users and bring strong design sensibility and product taste

  • You are a builder — you remove blockers, get into the details, and ship

  • You can translate messy user needs into clear product direction

  • You thrive in high ownership environments with ambitious expectations and mission intensity

  • You wake up wanting to ship features that materially improve the lives of teenagers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience

  • Senior product management experience, including leadership roles

  • Experience at an early-stage startup building or scaling product teams

  • Proven track record developing or managing product designers

  • Deep experience with user research and insight-driven product development

  • Clear evidence of shipping high-quality consumer or health-related products

Bonus Points

  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, telehealth, or youth platforms

  • Background working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments

  • Design background or equivalent product taste

  • Technical fluency, partnering closely with engineering

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Notion, and modern product/analytics stacks
