We’re looking for Machine Learning/Computer Vision Engineers to join our Generative ML Platform team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

You will have experience in 3D human body/face reconstruction and/or human-centric generative image/video synthesis, as a member of our 3D Human Reconstruction team you’ll work on creating new ways to employ computer vision to give Snapchatters exciting new tools and develop new human-centric Augmented Reality and Generative AI use cases. Additionally, you will:

  • Develop state of the art computer vision algorithms for 3D human body reconstruction to power AR effects on Snapchat and Spectacles.

  • Develop computer vision systems for 3D human face tracking and reconstruction to power AR facial effects.

  • Develop state of the art Generative AI pipelines for human-centric image and video generation.

  • Learn new techniques with the full support of your peers and stay on the cutting edge of Computer Vision and Generative AI.

  • Participate in our strong culture of mentoring as part of a world-class team of researchers and engineers.

  • Introduce innovations leading to product features or new areas of business.

  • Be involved at all stages of system development: conceptualization, prototyping, productionisation.

  • Work closely with other Snap teams to introduce, prototype and launch new products.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A passion for computer vision machine learning; you stay up-to-date with research and are excited about prototyping new ideas quickly.

  • Knowledge of mathematics and deep learning foundations.

  • Excellent programming skills.

  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other Snap teams.

  • Ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree and/or PhD and industry experience in CV/ML for 3D human reconstruction for body/face/hands or GenAI-based image/video generation.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.

  • Experience with the major deep learning frameworks: PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related publications in top-tier conferences (CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/NeurIPS).

  • Development or contributions to open source projects or Kaggle contests.

  • Experience and passion for wearable devices or VR/AR glasses.

  • Experience with C++ programming and CNN inference on mobile phones.
