We’re looking for a passionate AR Engineer to work on new AR experiences for Snap. Working from the Amsterdam office, you’ll work in close collaboration with colleagues in Partnership, 3D, VFX, QA, LensStudio designers in addition to various other Snap teams around the world to deliver the best AR experiences to our strategic partners and snapchatters. Ideal candidates for this role will have an extensive understanding and interest in concepts/deliverables as well as generate high-impact and innovative results.
What you’ll do:
Conceptualize and design new AR interactive experiences centered around the camera, using Lens Studio
Own the development part of new interactive experiences from prototype to product release
Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to make the most fun, surprising, and stable products possible
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in software engineering
Strong proficiency in one of these languages: Typescript, Javascript, C++, C#
Experience in AR/VR or game development
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong mathematical background (analytic geometry, linear algebra)
Experience with real-time 3D engines (Unity, Unreal, OpenFrameworks, Processing, and WebGL/OpenGL, etc.)
Experience in development for AR/VR wearables
Experience with 3D software like Maya, 3Ds Max, or Cinema 4D
Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work in a team.
Proven track record of shipping premium consumer product experiences in games, advertising, or other related channels
Standout creative portfolio
Image processing, computer vision, machine learning experience
A passion for creating interactive experiences that are fun, delightful, and allow Snapchatters to communicate and express themselves in new ways
