As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.

We're looking for an Sr. Engineering Manager to join the Structured Code and Frameworks team at Snap!

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of mobile engineers to develop high performance mobile infrastructure at scale

  • Manage Snapchat’s dependency injection frameworks, work scheduling, and metadata management to enable efficient use of client resources

  • Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver

  • Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders

  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor

  • Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Effectiveness at leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives

  • In-depth understanding of iOS and Android mobile technologies

  • Understanding of performance and engagement trade-offs for mobile apps

  • Knowledge of effective mobile architectural patterns

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 14+ years of industry experience in software engineering

  • 5+ years of experience managing a team

  • Track record of building, growing, and mentoring high performing large teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading mobile infrastructure teams

  • Experience with cross platform technologies

  • Track record of improving mobile app performance

  • Deep knowledge of and experience working with a diverse group of engineers

  • Someone who loves to learn, and is passionate about developing top engineering talent and leaders

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Zone A (CA, WA): The base salary range for this position is $265,000 - 385,000 annually

  • Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $252,000 - 366,000 annually

  • Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $225,000 - $327,000 annually

  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
