We're looking for a Network Engineer to join Snap!

What you’ll do:

  • Design, Develop, Deploy, and Operate Snap’s global enterprise network and data center infrastructure

  • Evaluate new technologies, prioritize their acquisition, and make decisions in alignment with IT roadmaps/business requirements

  • Engineer and implement new solutions to meet business and performance requirements

  • Automate solutions through scripting, continuous integration/deployment, and source control

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to support enterprise, security, and business related incidents and initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with Python or shell scripting to automate Network infrastructure

  • You understand configuration management for On-Premise and Cloud Network infrastructure

  • Experience with Spine and Leaf architecture for Data Center

  • Ability to communicate timelines, network dependencies, resource constraints, and progress with key stakeholders timely and effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience

  • 7+ years of experience in core network technologies, including routing, switching, implementation and design

  • On-call rotation with occasional travel required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in core network technologies, including routing, switching, implementation and design.

  • 5+ years experience implementing and managing small to medium scale BGP deployments.

  • 5+ years of experience utilizing network tools, packet sniffers (Wireshark/tcpdump)

  • 3-5 years Wireless Networking supporting site surveys, design, and deployment.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Zone A (CA,WA): The base salary range for this position is $205,000 - $295,000 annually

  • Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $195,000 - $280,000 annually

  • Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $174,000 - $251,000 annually

  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
