TRADING ASSOCIATE

Trading Associates at Signal Wealth play a critical role in managing the firm's investment portfolios, ensuring that trades are executed effectively, and managing risk associated with those trades. Additionally, the Trader would play a key role in onboarding new firms, providing excellent client service, and supporting our Head of Trading.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

  • Responsible for executing trades for clients in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring accuracy and proper execution quality
  • Perform a broad range of trading tasks: monitoring and rebalancing accounts using different investment strategies across multiple custodians
  • Managing risk associated with trades, monitoring trade settlement, and reporting any trade errors
  • Ensuring that all trades comply with regulatory requirements and the firm's policies and procedures
  • Work with a team of traders, creating and standardizing trading procedures, and ensuring coverage of all trading needs
  • Responsible for providing excellent client service, including communicating with clients about trades, cashiering needs, portfolio management, and addressing any client concerns or questions

MUST HAVES

  • 2+ years of professional trading experience with major custodians
  • Trading experience that ideally includes fixed-income, equity, ETF, and structured note trading
  • Experience working with external trading technology partners
  • Ability to learn new technologies and consistently improve process
  • Experience working for or with a TAMP or RIA
  • Compliance and Risk Management knowledge

SIGNAL HUBS

Signal Advisors is a remote company with team members all across the country. Over the years, we’ve realized the benefits and limitations of being fully remote. In order to foster culture and innovation that best serves our customers, a portion of our team is hybrid depending on their location. For this role, we require team members to be physically located in Detroit, or surrounding suburbs, or near one of our “Signal Hubs” across the US.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The US base salary for this full-time position is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
