At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration.

We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior People Business Partner to support our manufacturing organization as we scale production across multiple facilities.

This role will serve as the primary People partner for our Cypress factory, working closely with production, manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations leadership to support a growing hourly workforce. You will operate as a trusted advisor to manufacturing leaders, helping leaders navigate people challenges, maintain strong employee relations, and ensure our People practices support both operational performance and compliance.

This role requires strong judgment, credibility with production leaders, and the ability to turn People strategy into practical solutions that work on the factory floor.

What you'll own:

  • Manufacturing Partnership
    • Be the go-to People presence for our Cypress facility, with a consistent on-site presence and strong relationships across the floor.
    • Ensure People processes actually work on the factory floor, not just on paper.
    • Partner closely with Manufacturing leaders to balance compliance, speed, and real-world practicality.
    • Build trust with employees and managers through responsiveness, follow-through, and steady, professional execution.
    • Support managers in addressing employee relations issues, workplace concerns, and team conflicts
    • Partner with leadership to anticipate workforce risks and support organizational scaling.
  • Manager Enablement
    • Coach supervisors and managers on performance management, workforce planning, and team development.
    • Train and support managers so they know how to handle People matters confidently and compliantly.
    • Be the first place managers turn when they need guidance before a People situation becomes an ER issue.
    • Create and maintain simple, practical playbooks that help managers navigate onboarding, time off, leaves, performance cycles, and other People processes.
    • Identify patterns in workforce challenges and partner with leaders on proactive solutions.
  • Compliance & Risk
    • Turn legal and regulatory requirements into clear, usable processes that work in a production environment.
    • Ensure manufacturing operations comply with California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations and leave administration
    • Act as the escalation point for complex benefits or leave scenarios.
  • People Operations Partnership
    • Support payroll accuracy, timekeeping compliance, and leave administration in partnership with the People Operations Associate.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data.
    • Keep HR systems clean, accurate, and trusted through regular audits and data hygiene.
    • Spot when systems or workflows are starting to strain under growth and implement practical improvements.
    • Support additional People Operations initiatives and projects as needed to meet the demands of the business.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 6–9 years of progressive HR, People Operations, or HR Business Partner experience, ideally supporting operational or production-based teams.
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces, shift-based operations, or manufacturing environments, with strong understanding of the dynamics of production teams.
  • Experience supporting high-growth manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or operational environments is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with supervisors and operational leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workforce challenges.
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law, including wage and hour compliance and leave administration.
  • Experience operating in high-growth environments (Series A–B or similar) where systems are still being built and priorities evolve as the company scales.
  • A track record of implementing new People processes or policies and driving real adoption across managers and teams.
  • A builder’s mindset, with experience creating practical, scalable processes that work in fast-moving operational environments.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Comfort moving between hands-on execution and system-level thinking as the organization grows.
  • Experience with HR systems such as Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments where much of the work happens close to the production floor.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
  • Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000
  • This is an onsite role at our new facility in Cypress, CA.

Benefits:
