Head of Production
Senra Systems
At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration.
We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.
As a Head of Production in our new 100,000 ft2 factory, you will set the tone for operational excellence in wire harness manufacturing. You will directly manage our Production Supervisors and ensure the technician team meets on-time delivery (OTD), throughput, quality, and readiness targets in a fast-paced, high-mix environment.
You are accountable for floor performance, labor allocation, production scheduling, shift expectations, and developing your leadership bench. You drive a high-performance culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement — ensuring all technicians know what to do, have what they need, and are coached to high performance.
This role is ideal for a balanced hands-on leader who thrives tactically and strategically. Someone that is equally comfortable setting pace on the floor while also developing continuous improvement strategies. We are looking for a leader who can build and motivate strong teams and ensure daily goals are met through disciplined execution, pace, and real-time problem solving.

- Allocate labor and set daily production plans; ensure priorities, parts, tools, and instructions are in place.
- Set the floor management cadence: start-of-shift cross-functional alignment, floor walks, end of shift reports, etc.
- Escalate part/material issues, process barriers, and resource gaps proactively.
Team Leadership & Management
- Directly manage Production Supervisors; indirectly lead up to ~100 technicians.
- Build a high-accountability culture grounded in performance, safety, workmanship, and continuous improvement standards.
- Conduct weekly 1:1s, coach supervisors on leadership rhythm, and hold them to staffing and performance outcomes.
- Partner with Training to ensure apprenticeship development and continuous learning objectives for all technicians are executed consistently and effectively.
Quality, Safety, and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure builds meet workmanship standards (IPC-620, internal workmanship guides).
- Lead frontline response and corrective actions for quality escapes and non-conformances.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts via line design & balancing, focused kaizens, and flow improvements.
- Champion safe, organized, and disciplined workspaces (5S).
Cross-Functional Partnering
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering by providing work instruction feedback and process improvement recommendations. Ensure seamless communication when ME deliverables are needed or unblocking on the floor is required.
- Work with Supply Chain to resolve part constraints and maintain production readiness via structured clear-to-builds.
- Partner with the Estimating & Customer Programs team to understand and incorporate customer-driven changes into production workflows. Ensure a tight feedback loop on in-WIP work, proactively communicating potential delays.
- Drive alignment with the Plant Director on weekly production plans, KPI performance, and improvement priorities informed by floor-level insights.
What you'll bring to the team:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in fast-paced manufacturing (aerospace & defense electrical experience highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience as a Production Manager in an early-stage start-up or contract manufacturer.
