The Manager, Customer Programs owns and leads the quoting and account management function, This role defines pricing strategy, quoting workflows, and customer prioritization frameworks in partnership with the CEO and Head of Manufacturing. The Quoting Manager ensures accurate, timely, and profitable quotes that reflect operational realities and align with customer tiering and company goals.

They will manage a small team and oversee execution for onboarded customers, while the CEO focuses on strategic partnerships, long-term negotiations, and business development prospecting. This role is critical in enabling a repeatable, high-performing function that supports company growth, margin improvement, and customer management.

What you'll own:

  • Quoting Operations & Strategy
    • Define and maintain scalable quoting processes, pricing models, and playbooks
    • Ensure all quotes reflect production feasibility, lead time constraints, and capacity plans in coordination with Manufacturing
    • Ensure accurate, timely, and margin-positive quotes aligned with operational constraints and customer tiering
    • Set and enforce SLAs for quote turnaround, internal coordination, and customer communication
    • Own escalation and change management process for quote revisions, scope changes, and post-quote customer updates
  • Systems & Tools
    • Lead quoting system improvements in collaboration with Product and Manufacturing
    • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track quoting accuracy, speed, and conversion
    • Maintain quoting documentation and drive continuous process improvement
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to improve BOM standardization and maintain clean quoting templates
    • Work closely with Senra’s internal software team on process improvements to streamline the end-to-end process
  • Customer & Account Prioritization
    • Develop frameworks to prioritize customers based on revenue potential, margin, and strategic fit
    • Refine pricing strategy in partnership with CEO and Head of Manufacturing, informed by production and margin actuals
    • Incorporate operational complexity and resource load into quoting prioritization frameworks
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage, coach, and scale a small but impactful team (Quoter/Account Manager and Technical Program Manager to start)
    • Define clear roles, set performance expectations, and support professional development
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Provide input into capacity planning and staffing forecasts based on quoting pipeline and win rates
    • Partner with Supply Chain on sourcing strategy, vendor relationships, and part standardization
    • Work with Manufacturing to ensure quote assumptions align with production capabilities
    • Coordinate with Finance to monitor quoting impact on revenue and profitability

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Advanced degree and 4+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or 10+ years of experience working in one or more of the following:
    • Engineering
    • Purchasing
    • Contract negotiation
    • Material or production planning
    • Operations or supply chain management
    • Material cost control
    • Master production scheduling
  • Experience working directly with OEM’s for pricing targets, scheduling constraints, and technical capabilities
  • Experience with mechanical and/or special process manufacturers and suppliers
  • Experience in managing outsourcing contract manufacturing partners
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, successful contract negotiation, NPI and Production sourcing strategy development and execution
  • Prior experience managing Contract Manufacturing, harnessing, wiring and connectors
  • Knowledge of harness manufacturing, bill of materials, testing and final assembly processes
  • Technical procurement, product development, NPI, manufacturing and negotiating high volume electronic, assemblies and warranty services
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
  • Salary Range: $140,000-$165,000
  • This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA.
