About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned strategic leader to drive our international government strategy and engagement, specifically with NATO and Five Eyes Plus partner and ally nations on behalf of Veeam Software. This role, reporting to Veeam Government Services Vice President, will shape how Veeam partners with governments, defense ministries, and multilateral organizations worldwide to advance Veeam’s mission-critical capabilities, and ensure alignment with geopolitical priorities. The ideal candidate combines deep policy expertise, a strong understanding of and connections to the defense and security landscape, and a proven ability to navigate complex government environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Engagement: Develop and execute international strategies to engage with defense, intelligence, and security ministries to advance adoption of Veeam technologies and solutions.
  • Policy & Regulatory Insight: Monitor and analyze global policy, regulatory, and security trends that impact technology use in national defense and security contexts; advise leadership on risks and opportunities.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior government officials, international defense organizations, and industry partners.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and business development teams to align technical solutions with government security requirements and export control frameworks.
  • Market Strategy: Identify and prioritize opportunities for company technologies in international defense and security markets, and support regional teams in execution.
  • Risk Management: Provide guidance on sensitive issues such as data sovereignty, cybersecurity, supply chain resilience, and export controls to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  • Representation: Represent the company in high-level forums, conferences, and dialogues with governments and international security institutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • 15+ years of experience in government, defense, or international strategy roles, ideally with exposure to technology and security policy.
  • Proven experience working with senior defense, intelligence, and national security officials across multiple countries.
  • Deep understanding of global security architectures, NATO and allied defense cooperation, and international policy processes.
  • Strong track record of developing and executing complex strategies in international or government-facing contexts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at the executive and ministerial levels.
  • Ability to operate in highly sensitive environments with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Advanced degree in international relations, security studies, law, public policy, or related field preferred.
