As part of our growth, we are seeking a Staff Engineer to lead critical initiatives across our platform. You'll own complex technical projects end-to-end—from partnering with Product on problem definition through delivery and iteration. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on accountability, wants to shape technical direction, and elevates everyone around them.

Candidates must be U.S.-based and reside in one of the following states: AR, CA, GA, IL, MA, ME, NY, PA, TX, & WI.

What you'll do:

• Lead initiatives end-to-end — Partner with Product on canvases, own tech specs, organize work, and report on milestones. You're accountable for delivery, not just code.

• Build and scale complex systems — Design and implement features that serve enterprise customers, with attention to reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Elevate engineering quality — Raise the bar through code reviews, technical guidance, and setting examples in how you approach problems.

• Mentor and develop engineers — Help teammates grow through pairing, feedback, and sharing your experience. Everyone here leads projects—help others get there.

• Contribute to technical decisions — Participate in architecture discussions and shape how we build. Decisions stay with domain teams; your experience informs better outcomes.

Who you are:

Must-haves:

• AI-first mindset — You've already started reinventing how you work with AI tools, or you're eager to. We expect every engineer to leverage AI for greater efficiency and quality.

• 6+ years of software engineering experience — Building and shipping production systems at scale.

• Strong with modern web technologies — TypeScript, React, JavaScript, PostgreSQL. You're comfortable across the stack.

• B2B SaaS experience — You understand enterprise customer needs, security expectations, and the realities of serving business users.

• Experience at scale — You've worked on systems with meaningful user counts and data volumes. You know how to think about performance, reliability, and growth.

• Integration experience — You've built or worked with third-party integrations (APIs, data pipelines, enterprise systems). Bonus if this includes LLM platforms or HRIS systems.

• Remote-first experience — You communicate clearly in writing, work asynchronously, and stay effective without an office.

• Ownership mentality — You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks. You see projects through.

Compensation

Salary: $160,000 - $195,000
