Job Description
Section is an AI transformation company that helps organizations get real value from generative AI. AI-powered workforces will have a sustained competitive advantage over the next decade, but most of the workforce is unprepared. We help organizations plan their AI transformation, upskill their workforce, and integrate AI into their workflows and business processes – all with the goal of driving real productivity gains and ROI. Our goal is to bring a million workers into the “AI class” by 2026.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to own ProfAI, Section's AI-powered coaching platform. In this role, you'll own the product strategy and roadmap for ProfAI while prototyping new features, writing PRDs, and defining the AI skills we teach. This product serves both enterprise customers and individual users, so you'll need to balance enterprise and individual user priorities.
This role requires "high-low" thinking – you'll shift between strategic product vision and tactical execution multiple times per day. You must be a power user of AI tools and LLMs yourself, using them extensively in your own PM work.
We encourage you to explore Prof.ai.
What you’ll do:
Own product roadmap for foundational AI training and AI use case coach components
Define success metrics and drive toward ambitious goals for the platform (80%+ enterprise completion rates, increasing MAU/WAUs)
Identify product features that enable enterprise customization as well as enterprise lead generation via product-led growth
Write PRDs, prototype features using AI tools and LLMs, and manage sprint planning
Create specifications for new AI use cases and certification requirements
Design coaching experiences that feel natural and increase AI adoption (not like traditional training)
Think strategically about future integrations with productivity tools (Slack, Asana, etc.) and/or company platforms
Partner with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams daily
Use ProfAI extensively yourself to identify improvements and UX issues
Monitor user behavior and run experiments to improve engagement and retention
Communicate product updates and strategy to leadership and company stakeholders
Who you are:
3-5 years PM experience as the sole PM for a product (not just a feature set) at startups or high-growth companies (no Big Tech backgrounds)
You’re a power user of AI tools and LLMs - you use ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools extensively in your current PM work
You have a strong POV on what knowledge workers need to know about AI to be productive
You have a proven ability to work cross-functionally and write clear PRDs
You’re comfortable with "high-low" thinking - shifting between strategy and tactical execution daily
You’re self-directed with a strong ownership mentality – your natural instinct is to get to V1/MVP fast, ship, and make adjustments
You have a technical background or are very comfortable working with small engineering teams
BONUS: Experience managing B2B and B2C products preferred
BONUS: You’ve product managed an AI product before
Compensation
Salary: $150K-$170K base with $10K-$30K bonus based on experience
