As Content Marketing Manager at Section, you will play a pivotal role in establishing our company as the leading strategic resource for working professionals.
At Section, our goal is to become the go-to resource for professionals looking to "have a strategy for everything." Our membership platform already provides best-in-class strategic guides, frameworks, and insights. Now, we want to grow our audience and brand awareness by communicating our unique strength in strategy externally, particularly as it pertains to AI.
You will establish and own our bi-weekly newsletter on AI strategy and additional thought leadership content, with the goal of nurturing the Section audience and providing value as they get to know our brand. You will work closely with executives and the Education team on sharing our strategies externally, but you’ll also come with your own fresh perspective and ideas. We want a Content Manager who is steeped in the world of business, inherently grasps the most interesting angles in any news story or company announcement, and is eager to grow an audience and become known as an industry-leading editor.
Responsibilities
-Own and manage our bi-weekly newsletter focused on strategy; ideate, write, and edit engaging newsletter content
-Own and manage all external thought leadership content, focused on AI in 2024 (e.g., AI reports, e-books, etc.)
-Serve as the main content writer for all Section external content, including newsletter and blog
-Show a high degree of consistency and quality in what you produce: deadlines should always be met, and content should always meet our high standard for engaging and useful
-Devise strategies to grow our marketing audience, possibly including but not limited to: affiliate marketing, paid ads, referral programs, etc.
-Measure and report on audience engagement and growth
-Work closely with executives and subject matter experts to identify compelling perspectives and "spiky POVs"
-Immerse yourself in our course content and the business news beat, in order to come up with fresh, relevant post topics that drive engagement
-Work closely with the Design and Marketing teams to convert newsletter content into other content formats, including posts for social, lead magnets, etc.
-Support content creation efforts across the organization, including case studies, webinars, and other assets
-Meet quick turnarounds and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
-5+ years experience in content marketing, journalism, or generating thought leadership (newsletters) for expert executive(s)
-Exceptional analytical thinking and business acumen
-Experience working with executives to generate and synthesize viewpoints
-Ability to quickly research and synthesize insights into compelling perspectives
-Strong writing, editing, and project management skillsPassion for generating high-quality content and growing an audience
