We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and evolution of our flagship desktop application, especially in the Windows environment. You will leverage your deep expertise in C++, Flutter, and RESTful API integration to contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of key features across our SDK and frontend. This role offers an exciting opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges and make significant contributions to a high-impact product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of the desktop application, focusing on the C++ SDK, Flutter frontend, and their interaction with backend systems via REST APIs.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality components and features within the C++ SDK.
- Develop and enhance the Flutter-based user interface, ensuring a responsive and intuitive user experience.
- Implement and integrate with RESTful APIs to communicate with backend services (Authentication, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, etc.).
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of the application components you contribute to.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues spanning the frontend, SDK, and backend interactions.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on technical best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in C++, Flutter, and related technologies.
Must have qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Substantial experience (8-12 years) in software development.
- Deep expertise in at least one of the core areas: C++ development (including SDKs), Flutter frontend development, or RESTful API integration.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Visual Studio and MSBuild: Familiarity with the Windows development environment and build tools.
- Windows Installer Technologies (MSI, Inno Setup): For packaging and distributing the application on Windows.
- User Account Control (UAC): Understanding and handling user privileges on Windows.
- Experience with cross-platform desktop application development is a plus.
- Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL and Clickhouse.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part 1 of a collaborative team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for desktop applications.
- Windows API (Win32/COM) (Potentially): If the C++ backend needs to interact with specific Windows features not covered by cross-platform libraries.
- Familiarity with build systems and CI/CD pipelines for desktop application deployment.
- Contributions to open-source projects in C++ or Flutter.
- Experience with other frontend or backend technologies.
- Experience in an agile development environment.
