About the role:

The EMEA Communications Executive will play a pivotal role within a small but mighty team and presents an excellent opportunity to join one of the tech industry’s fastest-growing companies after some time in the communications world. This position requires a highly organised, proactive, and versatile person capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. The executive will work closely with various teams, including global and regional Communication, Marketing, Product and Sales teams, key executives as well as external agencies, to ensure seamless execution of our communications and business strategies.

This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to work across many disciplines of the Comms function. Key areas will be, but not limited to, social media content creation, monitoring and reporting, blog publishing, and preparing employee communications. You will also support in building out Samsara’s talent brand and scaling our customer storytelling programme, as well as having the opportunity to take ownership of the team’s analytics and operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Support and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews, campaign success analytics and the presentation of these to key internal stakeholders. You’ll also have the opportunity to take the lead on the training and educating of the EMEA business in how to work with the communications team and be the first port of call inbound requests (Operations)
  • Support the management of social/employee content creation and approvals of image assets, brand templates, video edits, and pan region communication calendar (Social and Employee Communications)
  • Manage content uploads, blog, press releases, case studies and latest media coverage and run the EMEA news room (Content Publishing)
  • Support, and in some cases, own the earned and social editorial calendars and manage key content libraries (Story Amplification)
  • Ensure up-to-date customer advocacy resources and manage internal team stakeholders to maintain a healthy story pipeline across the region (Customer Advocacy Programme Support)
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in tools (not limited to) Airtable, Showpad, Figma, Slack, Sprout Social, Indesign
  • Familiarity with content management systems and basic knowledge of video editing software is a plus
