About the role:
We are seeking a motivated, highly organized team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. This candidate will play a key role in the event planning and execution of our in-person credential program and other proprietary events.
Samsara is aiming to increase our end-user product adoption and enhance customer engagement by credentialing leaders during live community-based events. Your work will be crucial in driving a best-in-class customer experience through programming and engagement; while aligning to the company’s business objectives. In this role, you will:
- Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue sourcing, contract management, timeline planning and overall project management.
- Oversee all onsite logistical aspects of the events, including A/V, food and beverage, facilities set up/breakdown, collateral production, and on-site coordination.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, vendors, and participants to ensure clear information flow and a smooth execution process.
- Manage multiple concurrent events/programs with overlapping schedules.
- Manage vendor budgets, reconciliation, & expenses and notify manager of status.
- Understand Samsara’s brand and collaborate on and contribute to developing overall event experiences that reflect it
- Bring energy, creativity, and new ideas to build and grow our in-person certification program
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
This role is open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Area (125 mi. radius from 1 De Haro St, San Francisco) and NYC Metro Area (50 mi. radius from 131 W 55th St, New York).
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 3+ years of experience in event marketing, people operations, and/or project management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required along with the ability to travel 20% of the time for live events
An ideal candidate also has:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Extraordinary attention to detail and able to run multiple concurrent project demands within established timelines
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.
