About the role:

Samsara is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Partnerships Manager to oversee our Mexico insurance partnerships team. You will have a consistent track record of business success and the ability to hire, develop, and manage an inclusive and engaged team. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of success in channel sales management and a strong understanding of people management principles.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You have innate curiosity in how businesses work: One day you’ll meet with someone in waste management and the next you may be learning about the inner workings of a food distribution center. Our top sales team members seek to learn the ins and outs of the businesses they support in order to make a larger impact.
  • You build genuine relationships with your customers: The industries we serve have relied on pen-and-paper solutions for years and haven’t been met with the type of technology we offer. Our customers value earned trust and human relationships built over time.
  • You want to be with the best: Samsara’s high-performance culture means you’ll be surrounded by the best and challenged to go farther than you have before.
  • You are a team player: At Samsara, sales is a team sport. We help each other out by sharing best practices and focus on winning as a team.

In this role, you will:

  • Own quarterly and biannual sales and pipeline targets for your region, supporting the team to meet their own goals.
  • Develop and implement GTM strategies for your region, with an emphasis on optimizing first purchase pipeline generated by insurance partner programs.
  • Establish a metrics-driven approach to new program development and growth in existing programs.
  • Champion both partner and internal team needs across the organization by building and maintaining strong relationships across the organization.
  • Stay informed of market trends relevant to both partners and Samsara, and be able to adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).
  • Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing account management team.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A strong understanding of the value of team culture, communication, and collaboration.
  • 8+ years of experience in a direct or channel led sales role or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical, business development, sales, and executive roles.
  • You should have a history of over-achievement (Presidents Club, etc.) and be comfortable with a partnerships sales motion in technology or other lines of business.
  • Excitement about solving programs and comfortable operating without a set playbook.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Previous experience leading and building a Field Sales Team or Channel Sales team a plus.
  • Analytical chops to understand data and measure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Business fluent in English as well as a second language.

At Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background, race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, etc. We depend on the unique approaches of our team members to help us solve complex problems. We are committed to increasing diversity across our team and ensuring that Samsara is a place where people from all backgrounds can make an impact.
