About the Role:

We are looking for a Director of Field Marketing & ABM with a proven track record of driving demand and delivering pipeline to fuel our next stage of growth. You should be relentlessly focused on the customer and have experience activating account-based marketing initiatives, programs and events across various sales segments. As a key member of the Marketing Leadership team, you will drive and scale a high-performing team and operate as a team player who appreciates a unique, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires building strong relationships across the marketing team and with leaders from Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Business Operations to obtain shared success.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the Field Marketing and Account Based Marketing teams while helping them grow in influence, ownership and scope; bring discipline, best practices and rigor to create consistency & scale.

  • Partner closely with regionally-organized sales leaders to develop a strategy that supports strong quarterly pipeline and revenue goals; advocate for what sales needs, and keep sales informed on marketing priorities.

  • Plan, execute, scale and optimize high-performance ABM programs to deliver on our aggressive pipeline goals and support expansion within our current customer base.

  • Design, implement, and measure field marketing events and programs to support deal progression and expansion.

  • Deliver on pipeline objectives and use data-driven decision making to drive growth, expansion and retention; reporting out performance to leadership on a regular basis.

  • Evaluate the performance and ROI of campaigns, adjusting tactics and strategy accordingly to optimize budget.

  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

  • Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 10+ years of experience in b2b saas marketing, preferably field marketing or ABM

  • 7+ years building and leading a team

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau and 6Sense

  • A strong track record of driving and scaling pipeline generation in fast-paced environments

  • Strong track record of leadership and development, with desire to grow, scale and manage a high-performing team

  • Strong problem-solving with a track record of a test & learn mindset

  • Excellent team player who values other views and can earn stakeholder confidence quickly and exert influence

  • Strong executive communication and ability to effectively share program strategies, results, and insights with a large audience

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver total compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs). A new hire RSU award is awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

We pay for performance, and top performers are eligible to receive above target equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$156,800$235,200 USD

We value in-person collaboration and know a change of scenery and quiet space to work is welcomed from time to time, but also appreciate that the world of work has changed.
