The Opportunity

We are looking for a Partner Relationship Manager to join our team and elevate our focus on channel growth. Reporting to the Head of Channels, you will be instrumental in forming and nurturing strategic partnerships to drive company and product growth across Posit’s global markets.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of managing and expanding successful partnerships, be customer-focused and results-driven, and possess strong communication and project management skills.

The Partner Relationship Manager is crucial in accelerating Posit's growth through partners by identifying new opportunities and empowering existing partners to sell our products. By implementing a Partner Onboarding and Enablement process and clearly communicating our product value, you will nurture relationships with various partners, including but not limited to, resellers, service providers, and distributors.

What you will own:

  • Act as the primary advocate and point of contact for key partners
  • Oversee relationship-building and account mapping activities between Posit’s sales organization and partners in your territory
  • Develop and maintain a plan to identify partner opportunities, aiming to achieve and exceed the Partner-sourced Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) quota
  • Build and sustain close relationships with current and potential channel partners
  • Deliver new partner onboarding and enablement programs to ensure partners understand the evolving programs and products they will market and sell to customers
  • Execute go-to-market strategies with our partners as needed

What you will assist with:

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments, including the Head of Global Channels, VP of Alliances, Sales teams, and Product team, to ensure a unified approach to delivering value
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert on various channel topics (Deal Registration, Account Plans, GTM plans, new channel initiatives, etc.) and share best practices with sales teams through formal and informal training
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive vision for key partnerships
  • Advise internal stakeholders on the best product development approaches based on partner feedback and stay updated on ecosystem best practices

What you bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience in partnerships and business development within the tech industry
  • Expertise in identifying and collaborating with key partners to drive success in the territory
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution among partners, Posit sellers, and customers when necessary
  • Exceptional communication, sales, and negotiation skills, capable of articulating value propositions and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in identifying and pursuing partner leads that align with Posit’s ideal partner profile
  • Experience engaging with partners face-to-face at networking events, including dinners, conferences, and on-site meetings
