The Role:
As a Lead Pharmacy Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning of our Illinois Pharmacy warehouse. In this position, you will lead and support a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of productivity, organization, and teamwork across all warehouse operations.
You will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory. You will also be responsible for packaging and shipping patient orders in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality in every shipment.
In close partnership with the Pharmacy and Inventory Teams, you will help monitor inventory levels, identify and resolve discrepancies, and contribute to regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Your responsibilities will further include establishing effective workflows, maintaining quality control of outbound orders, and collaborating with leadership to implement process improvements while upholding safety and compliance standards.
We are looking for a Lead Warehouse Associate with primary availability Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm CT. Our facility is located in Romeoville, Illinois.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory
  • Establish and maintain clear workflow processes, driving adherence to operational standards and efficiency targets
  • Collaborate closely with the Pharmacy Team to support seamless order fulfillment including packaging and shipping patient orders while maintaining a high standard of patient care
  • Lead inventory management activities such as counting, stocking, and tracking materials, working with the Inventory Team to resolve discrepancies
  • Participate in regular audits and cycle counts
  • Monitor warehouse and packaging supply levels, proactively communicating procurement needs to the appropriate teams
  • Train, coach, and mentor new and existing warehouse associates, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and safety
  • Uphold safety and cleanliness standards across all warehouse zones, ensuring a compliant and organized work environment
  • Partner with pharmacy and logistics stakeholders to identify and resolve operational challenges and support continuous improvement
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication across team members and cross-functional departments
  • Support additional operational tasks and responsibilities as assigned by warehouse or pharmacy leadership

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or pharmacy operations environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping procedures
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, drive accountability, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Lead daily workflow scheduling, team meetings, and performance evaluations including regular 1:1s with direct reports
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain quality and accuracy in repetitive tasks
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate across teams and departments
  • Comfortable using warehouse equipment and systems (experience with inventory software is a plus)
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges independently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support evolving business needs
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and fostering a safe work environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend at the waist and knee, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Schedule & Availability:

  • While we strive to maintain consistent schedules, flexibility is required, as your scheduled workdays may occasionally shift to help cover holidays, team PTO, or other staffing needs
  • Advanced notice of at least two weeks will be provided for any changes to the regular schedule
  • Please note that shift structures may be adjusted in the future based on evolving business needs

The target base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
