Role Overview
We are hiring a Human Resources Manager to own all aspects of the people operations and resource needs for a fast-moving startup.
This role is highly hands-on and focused on responsiveness, trust, and operational excellence. You will be the primary point of contact for employees on HR matters while partnering closely with leadership to ensure our people systems scale simply and effectively. The right person enjoys developing close relationships with a small, fast moving and thriving team, solving real problems quickly, and building processes to make things run smoothly now and into the future.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Employee Support & Trust
- Serve as the primary owner of all HR functions, requests and employee inquiries
- Ensure timely, thoughtful execution on employee issues (same day / 24–48 hour SLA)
- Create clear intake and communication channels, ensuring employees know where to go for help and resources
- Build a culture of credibility and trust through strong follow-through and empathy
Core HR Operations
- Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end
- Manage benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee records
- Maintain the HRIS and ensure data accuracy
- Partner closely with Finance on compensation, payroll, and headcount
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain the employee handbook, policies, and required documentation
- Support employee relations issues, leaves, accommodations, and investigations as needed
- Coordinate with external employment counsel when appropriate
Manager Support
- Support managers with performance conversations, feedback, and documentation
- Provide simple templates and guidance
- Help managers navigate sensitive people situations effectively
Hiring & Growth Support
- Support recruiting coordination and interview processes
- Ensure new hires have a strong, consistent onboarding experience
- Support leadership with headcount planning and organizational changes
Culture & Employee Experience
- Reinforce Ridepanda’s values through everyday behaviors
- Support leaders and managers in building a culture of trust, collaboration, ownership, and accountability
- Listen for employee themes and surface insights to leadership regularly
- Help ensure employees feel supported, heard, and treated fairly as we scale
Ideal Background
- 4+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HR Management
- Experience supporting a startup or scaling company (25–150 employees)
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, benefits, and employment compliance
- Empathetic communicator with excellent judgment and follow-through
- Highly organized, practical, and comfortable working directly with founders
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from scratch
