Data at H1 plays a crucial and foundational role in creating that future! Looking across thousands of data sources across the globe, the data team is responsible for making sense out of that data to create the world’s most extensive and comprehensive knowledge base of healthcare stakeholders and the ecosystem they influence.
As a Research Analyst, you will support H1's data quality efforts for our HCP Universe product. On the Strategy team, you will build expertise in Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) and apply your learnings to help improve the breadth and depth of our data.
You will:
- Learn the landscape. Develop working knowledge of the components of HCP data, including publications, clinical trials, hospital and university affiliations, society memberships, and conference engagements and apply it to build HCP and HCO profiles with guidance from senior team members
- Support data quality. Help check, validate, and document data to ensure accuracy and completeness across H1's knowledge base
- Follow and improve processes. Apply established research guidelines to keep data consistent and accurate, and share observations when you spot opportunities to improve how we work
- Research external data sources. Develop familiarity with healthcare data across diverse regions and apply these insights to daily work at H1. You will gradually build a broader understanding of the global healthcare data landscape.
- Communicate findings clearly. Summarize and document your research in a clear, organized way that teammates and stakeholders can act on
- Collaborate across teams. Work closely with team members in the United States and India, contributing to a shared goal of high-quality, comprehensive data
- Flag and escalate issues. Identify data quality or source problems, document them clearly, and bring them to senior team members with your observations and questions

- Bachelor's degree in any field, or currently enrolled in a relevant program. No prior work experience required — coursework, personal projects, or internship experience are all welcome.
- Fluent Japanese reading skills and intermediate Japanese writing skills
- Some experience with research tasks — finding and summarizing information from online sources or academic articles. Willingness to develop these skills further on the job.
- Interest in healthcare, data, problem-solving, and collaboration
- Basic familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets (e.g. formulas, sorting).
- Attention to detail and a desire to manage tasks independently over time.
- Willingness and ability to work from our NYC office in NoMad 1-2 days per week preferred
