We're seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter, based in Paris, France, who is passionate about building a holistic cyber risk management model that integrates security and insurance into a unified offering. Resilience Underwriters play a key role in engaging with brokers, clients, and partners, successfully executing business plans to drive responsible growth. Collaborating closely with our in-house security experts, underwriters are expected to work across the Resilience organization to deliver best-in-class support and partnership for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the team to deliver strategy and drive growth for primary and excess cyber business
- Develop relationships and educate brokers to maximize opportunities and achieve profitable growth
- Achieve set targets for new business premium, security engagement, renewal premium retention, and rate change
- Adhere to company guidelines and underwriting authority while evaluating new and renewal accounts to determine risk acceptability, contractual terms, and pricing
- Demonstrate sound risk and pricing decision-making, incorporating technology/security resources and traditional underwriting principles
- Collaborate with technology and security teams to develop and execute client engagement strategies
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a cyber underwriter or broker with a proven track record of growth (required)
- A strong network of broker and underwriting relationships or deep knowledge of cybersecurity
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
- Based in or willing to work remotely from Paris, France
- Passion for collaboration and the future of cyber insurance
- Strong communication skills
- Deep knowledge of the cyber insurance markets across assigned territory
- Technical fluency in G-Suite
- Professional references required
