As a Technical Lead Engineer of cloud infrastructure at Resilience, you will join a team of experienced engineers, data scientists, and security researchers to deliver and maintain cloud-native tools and services for both internal use and Resilience customers. You will be responsible for establishing the longer-term cloud strategy to create and operate a scalable platform that is secure, cost-effective, and developer friendly. You will also define SLOs and SLIs for the infrastructure team that is aligned with broader engineering OKRs. On a tactical level, you will coordinate requirements for the infrastructure team, collaborate with feature teams, and provide guidance and implement cloud automation.
This position is full-time and remote-friendly. Our engineering team currently operates loosely on Eastern Standard Time, and we have employees located in Baltimore, New York, San Francisco, and scattered about the eastern seaboard.

  • Fostering a team environment
  • Mentoring team members
  • Manage scalable, observable, and developer-friendly cloud-based application infrastructure used by all of Resilience's engineering teams
  • Build a great customer experience for people using your infrastructure
  • Develop and drive adoption of CI/CD services and best practices
  • Identify cost-saving and productivity-increasing initiatives
  • Plan for the growth of Resilience's infrastructure

Qualifiations:

  • 7+ years of software development and software delivery experience
  • 3+ years of tech lead experience
  • Experience orchestrating distributed systems
  • A strong desire to minimize the operational overhead of systems, large and small
  • Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, etc.)
  • Experience in software development (Python, Java, Node, etc.)
  • Familiar with DevOps tooling and best-practice (Terraform, Travis/Jenkins, etc.)
  • Familiar with Logging infrastructure (Cloudwatch, ELK, etc.)
  • Excellent command of at least one programming language

  • Serverless AWS development including AWS Lambda, Dynamo DB, Aurora
  • Cluster Technologies including AWS ECS, Fargate, and EKS
