Who we are looking for
The Quoting Engineer plays a critical role in managing quote requests and ensuring smooth order execution. This role coordinates Request for Quote (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI) and proposals, and leads production hand-off from purchase order (PO) receipt through to manufacturing start.
What you get to do!
Quote Coordination:
- Aid in technical customer communication about RFQs
- Track and log incoming quote and proposal requests
- Distribute requests across relevant team members
- Managing requirements review meetings and collect cross-functional inputs
- Aid in developing initial schedules and delivery timelines
- Draft integrated quotes for review by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to quoting processes
- Track quote metrics and aid in the development of new equipment/capability acquisition.
ERP administration:
- Enter and manage customer orders
- Establish basic project data in the ERP system
- Generate and reconcile booking reports with Finance
- Coordinate schedules with new RFQs to ensure proper lead times and OTD
General:
- Maintaining and updating the Operations Plan with inputs from functions(s)
- Draft and revise procedures to support continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations
- Aid in Manufacturing Engineering tasks as required
What you bring to the Team
- Associate’s degree in a technical and/or business-related field of study. At least 2 years working in a manufacturing business, preferably in a similar coordination or administrative role.
- Working knowledge of CNC Machining processes and equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and financial information. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. English proficiency is vital.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, data visualization). Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Infor SyteLine, SAP, or similar) is a strong plus.
