What you get to do!

  • Leads continuous improvement projects related to composite production with respect to safety, quality, cost, manufacturability, delivery, and customer value.
  • Serve as the primary technical expert and represent composite resources as the main contact for key customer accounts from a process standpoint.
  • Maintain relevant certifications as required for special manufacturing processes and verify that the facility is properly represented.
  • Work as a technical liaison between departments such as Project Management, Project Engineers, Quality, etc. (occasionally with suppliers) in their daily work to resolve operational issues.
  • Helps to integrate new products into serial production, with focus on controlling costs and ensuring high product quality.
  • Creates clear and accurate process documentation to support production.
  • Support Composite Technicians in daily work to resolve operational issues such as: scrap reduction/prevention, improve serial production parts/rates, etc.

What you will bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience and passion for composite manufacturing processes
  • 3-5 years of Engineering experience
  • Expert user of SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Ability to build relationships with operators and team members
  • Self-motivated with strong personal workload management
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and schematics with proper application of dimensions and tolerance (GD&T)
  • Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophy, methodology, and tools.
