Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure compliance to industry and customer requirements. As a Quality Engineer, you will assist in developing process controls, writing documentation, and reviewing customer documentation. The Quality Engineer will work as part of a multi-functional team to ensure all processes and products meet established quality standards.

What you get to do!

  • Assist with quality oversight and support for new product launches, including responsibility for First Article and PPAP processes
  • Develop and deploy quality documentation, including but not limited to inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions
  • Participate in material review board meetings as a signatory authority
  • Review and summarize purchase orders and contracts as they pertain to quality requirements
  • Perform root cause analysis for internal and external nonconformances
  • Coordinate and document deployment of corrective actions
  • Communicate with customer representatives regarding product quality and nonconformances
  • Perform statistical studies of production processes such as CpK and Gage R&R studies
  • Monitor existing processes for stability
  • Perpetuate organizational risk-based thinking through execution of FMEA process
  • Together with Supply Chain, manage supplier non-conformances
  • Lead and document training activities for quality processes and nonconformances
  • Coordinate and implement continuous improvement projects, with particular emphasis on scrap reduction projects

What you will bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in engineering is required for consideration.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Preferred
  • Knowledge of root cause and problem-solving techniques such as fishbone or 5 Why
  • Familiarity with statistical process control techniques
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of inspection and measurement tools such as CMM and articulated arms
  • Composite manufacturing process experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
