Who we are looking for
Re:Build-CDI is seeking a passionate Lean Engineer to join our team and contribute to improving operational excellence! You will champion a culture of sustainable change through the implementation of lean and six sigma methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation.
What you will get to do
- Supports continuous improvement activity across the business by employing lean methodology including but not limited to 5S, Visual Management, A3 thinking, standard work, waste identification, and Kanban.
- Partners with team members to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement that is in line with site goals and strategy.
- Facilitates problem solving and improvement-based events focused on improving safety, eliminating waste, stabilizing processes, and improving quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Provides training and communication as improvements are rolled out including the documentation and updates to standard procedures.
- Develops process layouts to support standard methodologies and improve flow in work area.
- Performs cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the financial feasibility of potential process improvements.
- Drive process capability improvements through variation reduction, error-proofing, and implementation of statistical process controls; includes capturing and analyzing data to identify and prioritize opportunities such as Pareto and process capability
- Performs audits to ensure sustainment of improvements over time.
- Assists in Value Stream mapping and Value Stream transformation.
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or engineering field with a focus on Lean preferred.
- 3 + years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 3+ years of lean/six sigma experience required including leading lean transformation events
- Lean six sigma green or black belt preferred.
- Project management skills.
- Familiarity with AS9100 / aerospace & defense quality requirements.
