Sr. Staff Accountant

Slate is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.

Who we are looking for:

Slate is looking for a dynamic, organized, experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for completing several corporate accounting activities for our company.

What you get to do:

Work closely with stakeholders to complete the accounting activities for our company on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Assist in the monthly close process
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Support the annual audit process
• Manage the purchase order accrual
• Active involvement in ERP implementation planning
• Prepare work instructions for recurring accounting activities and use them
• Work with the Financial Planning & Analysis organization on budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure your work is done leveraging strong internal controls and segregation of duties
• Help implement the systems required systems to be a public company
• Continuously improve the accuracy and speed of your work

What you bring to the team:

• Experience in completing the accounting activities for a manufacturing company
• Experience in preparing financial statements and reports
• Ability to implement new accounting procedures
• Thoughtful communicator with aligned motives for joining our company
• Strong judgement and analytical skills
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments at the same time
• Strong ethics and integrity
• 5 years or more relevant experience
• B.S. in Accounting current CPA license preferred
